During art class, we were inspired by a still life featuring a striking red vase with black patterns and, of course, a basket full of apples. The resulting works captivated all the children.

The second source of inspiration was Bulgarian painter Vladimir Dimitrov's painting "Girl with Apples." The children passionately captured its atmosphere, combining their own imagination with artistic sensitivity.

It's truly amazing how many stories a single apple can tell!

As part of today’s Steam Adventure project classes, our group took part in a unique and tasty lesson dedicated to tasting different varieties of apples. We had the opportunity to compare five kinds: Golden Delicious, Gala, Jonagold, Red Delicious, and the local variety Champion.

During the activity, we examined the apples from every angle – their appearance, texture, smell, and taste. Each of us could independently decide which apple we liked best and then cast a vote for our favorite.

It turned out that the undisputed winner was the Red Delicious apple, which received as many as 9 votes! The remaining varieties received one vote each, which means that we almost unanimously chose the most delicious variety.

It was a very interesting lesson full of aromatic sensations, which not only allowed us to try different flavors, but also taught us to observe carefully, compare, and discuss our impressions.

The next task in the STEAM Adventure project, testing different apple varieties, proved to be an exceptionally delicious and inspiring adventure for our young explorers!

Now we eagerly await the aggregate results from all 29 participating schools. Which apple will be the children's favorite? We already know our class' favorite—Jonagold.

On Wednesday, November 26th, our class took part in an extraordinary online meeting on the Zoom platform, organized as part of the STEAM Adventure project, in which we have been actively participating for several months. It was an event that will stay in our memory for a long time!

During the videoconference, we connected with children from various towns in Poland as well as from other countries. Each group talked about their project activities, shared ideas, and presented the tasks they had completed. Even though many kilometers separated us, we all felt that we were learning together and creating one creative community.

It was an experience that gave us energy to keep going, and we already can’t wait for the next project challenges!

Torn-Paper Apple Magic: Crafting Our Colorful Orchard

As part of our project today, we created apples using a charming torn-paper collage technique. We began by sketching the outline of an apple in pencil, each one slightly different as we let our creativity lead the way.

Then came the most satisfying part—tearing colorful paper into tiny pieces and carefully gluing them down to fill our shapes. It was a process that called for patience and determination, but the results are absolutely worth it. Every apple turned out unique and full of personality.

Now our vibrant orchard decorates the school hallway and shines in the project presentation. It’s amazing to see how the simplest materials can transform into something so eye-catching and full of life! 🍎✨
